EPA published a second list of chemicals found in drinking water to be screened for endocrine disrupting potential today here.

In addition, EPA published draft policies for conducting the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program (EDSP) here.

The first list was all about pesticides and pesticide ingredients, riding on the fact that there are a known subset of manufacturers and processes for getting testing done and a pretty full set of data already to see if the screening program works.  But pressures have been strong to go after more chemicals.

Heads up to manufacturers and importers who have reported activity under the TSCA Inventory Update Rules.  You will be getting testing orders under the EDSP.

The mechanics of who will do the testing and how to avoid duplicative testing is the subject of the options offered in the draft policies.
